Gucci’s new ready-to-wear collection for Fall/Winter 2017-2018 is one of most talked-about shows of Milan Fashion Week. The theme of the event was the future, and this runway debut is, without a doubt, a huge step forward for the label. Creative director Alessandro Michele presented a series of lush and luxurious looks unlike anything we’ve ever seen from Gucci before.

The fashion house hosted the event in its vast new headquarters, an almost 200,000 square foot space inside a former aeronautical factory, where all of Gucci’s collections will be showcased in the years to come. The Fall/Winter collection itself was a gorgeous chaos of vivid hues, floral embroideries, animal prints and tartans, each design absolutely unique. Gucci called the show The Alchemist’s Gardenan apt name for a collection that references motifs, silhouettes and fabrics of the past and yet has ingeniously crafted them into something entirely new.
