As of late, the word “Influencer” seems to carry an increasingly negative connotation. As soon as someone says that he or she is an influencer, eyes start rolling immediately. However, the people on this list are not just influencers – they’re legit fashion bloggers with a deep appreciation for innovative style and legit knowledge of the fashion industry. Check out our picks for the top 10 fashion bloggers below:

1. LYN SLATER – ACCIDENTAL ICON

If you don’t follow Lyn Slater on social media yet, you’re missing out. She fills a niche that was almost entirely missing from the fashion blogging world – a style resource for women ages 50 and over. With over 739,000 followers and counting, Slater proves that good style doesn’t end at a certain age. With her snow-white coiffed hair, loud prints, statement necklaces, oversized silhouettes and more, she inspires women of all ages to have fun with fashion.

2. KAVITA DONKERSLEY – SHE WEARS FASHION

Kavita Donkersley started the She Wears Fashion blog when she was just 16. Although somewhat messy and misguided at first (hey, she was 16 after all), her blog has continued to gain momentum, and she now has over 56,000 Instagram followers. Based in London, Donkersley is a champion of hidden thrift store gems, proving that great style doesn’t have to carry a hefty price tag.

4. LEANDRA MEDINE – MAN REPELLER

Blogger, author, and humor writer Leandra Medine created Man Repeller to provide a space for women to talk about everything they love and men hate. Her specialty is blending elevated street fashion with humor – proving her life’s motto that we shouldn’t take everything (namely fashion) so seriously. However, with over 2.4 million followers and counting, Leandra Medine and her Man Repeller blog continue to grow seemingly by the day and that’s no laughing matter.

5. DANIELLE BERNSTEIN – WE WORE WHAT

Danielle Bernstein’s We Wore What fashion blog is about as pure a fashion blog as it gets. She eschews close-up shots in favor of focusing solely on the fashion with full-angle images. She wants her followers to be inspired only by her outfits – a refreshing concept in a sea of look-at-me “influencers.” It’s a concept that works, too, having gained Bernstein more than 2.5 million followers.

6. JESSICA WANG – NOT JESS FASHION

An Asian American blogger from New York, Jessica Wang, knows how to create a spectacular image. This girl knows all about fantastic fashion, but Wang has a particular knack for creating scenes and “worlds” in her photos that present as art. She loves to merge street fashion with luxury pieces, creating a style all her own.

8. ROWAN ROW – ROWAN ROW

Not all fashion bloggers are women. The man behind his self-titled blog, Rowan Row, started gaining traction on social media just a few years ago (he now boasts 1.2 million followers). His brand has grown exponentially and he regularly blogs about fitness and grooming in addition to fashion. Row’s focus is highlighting what people are looking for at the moment, rather than simply being photographed in beautiful clothes. We’d say he’s come a long way since his stripping days with London’s Dreamboys dance troupe.

She’s now a Brooklyn resident and uses her platform to dismantle stereotypes about the Black and LGBTQIA+ community.
