The new film whips up a fashion frenzy
It’s been more than 25 years since Absolutely Fabulous—the sitcom about hapless publicist Edina Monsoon (Jennifer Saunders) and her perpetually inebriated friend Patsy Stone (Joanna Lumley)—debuted on British TV. The duo resurfaces once again on July 22 when Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie debuts. As usual, the Ab Fab ladies are obsessed with fashion and the film follows suit. It opens with Edina and Patsy making a scene by crashing London Fashion Week. Later, Edina accidentally knocks Kate Moss into the Thames. And along the way, a long list of models and other high-profile fashionistas—including Alexa Chung, Lily Cole, Jourdan Dunn, Jean Paul Gaultier, Poppy Delevingne, Stella McCartney and Suki Waterhouse—join in on the twosome’s raucous adventure.
