Although it’s only been around since 2014, the indie label Vetements—which specializes in “elevated streetwear”—has been shaking up the fashion industry. Formed as a design collective, Vetements was founded by Demna Gvasalia, who formerly designed womenswear for Maison Martin Margiela and Louis Vuitton and who was recently appointed Balenciaga’s creative director. The hallmark of the brand is utilitarian clothes—think graphic tees, hoodies, funky tracksuits, oversized outwear—which have been embraced by fashion A-listers like Rihanna, Kendall Jenner and Selena Gomez. Here’s a look at Vetements’ latest runway show.
