CELEB CLOSETS ARE TOO MUCH
Kylie, Mariah, Billie, Elton+

Celebrities are known for their trendsetting looks, so it only makes sense that their insanely luxurious closets are as stylish as they are.
Let’s face it – most of our first studio apartments could fit inside these huge sartorial spaces. With all the free swag most celebrities get on a near-constant basis, their closets need to expand to accommodate everything. Celeb closets also tend to showcase particular passions, whether it’s Elton John’s insane sunglass collection or Ellen Degeneres’ sneaker addiction. They are also outfitted (get it?) with some of the most insane features that most of us can only dream about.
A multi-room closet is a feature that isn’t new to most celebrities. Elton John has a room solely for his Versace silk shirt collection. Chelsea Handler has equipped a place in her closet with a full-service bar. And we all know how insane Mariah Carey’s closet is –featured on one of the highest-rated MTV Cribs episodes of all time. Of course, it doesn’t just end at multiple rooms. With all the pressures and crazy schedules that come with being a celebrity, it only makes sense that their closets are designed right down to the last meticulous detail to provide the most comfort and ease. Jennifer Aniston reportedly turned her entire garage into an unbelievable closet space, complete with a long hallway/runway, that set her back $60,000. Cardi B equipped her closet with a floor-to-ceiling ladder to ensure the perfect Birkin bag is always within reach.
With all these insane features and layouts, it only makes sense that celebrity closets are meticulously organized. Frequently celebrities hire professional organizers solely for this purpose. It wasn’t too long ago that a young gal named Kim Kardashian got her start organizing Paris Hilton’s wardrobe. From there, she began offering her arranging talents to many of Hollywood’s elite, including Cindy Crawford and Serena Williams.
Streaming service Netflix has also gotten in on the celebrity closet craze with its new show Get Organized With the Home Edit. It follows master organizers Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin as they declutter the homes and closets of celebs like Reese Witherspoon (she was so impressed with Shearer and Teplin’s skills that she signed on as a producer of the series), Rachel Zoe, and Khloe Kardashian.
Most of us can only dream of having the closet space that celebrities can acquire. For now, a nice escape into a YouTube video will do just fine.
