The singer takes on Paris in elegant couture
After her spectacular debut at the MET Gala last spring, where she wowed the crowds in her black and white Ateller Versace gown, Canadian singer Céline Dion is definitely having a fashion moment.
This spring, the 49-year-old diva, who has sold over 250 million albums worldwide, sat in the front row at all of the Paris shows, eyeing the exquisite confections. Clearly the singer was deciding which ensembles she’d be adding to her extensive personal collection (Dion has warehouses holding the thousands of gowns, suits, and shoes she’s worn over the years).
To celebrate her return to the limelight, this month Vogue magazine features Dion in a sophisticated fashion spread wearing the hautest of the fall season’s couture collections from Chanel, Valentino, and Dior. Video director, Gordon von Steiner, who was recently dubbed the Fassbinder of fashion videos by the New York Times, caught the still-stunning drama queen as she danced, sang, and posed for this striking video shot at the Ritz Paris and picturesque locales around town.
