The sexiest shoe campaign ever!

When designer Brian Atwood was ready to unveil his 2012 shoe collection, he launched it with an ad campaign that—according to the company’s official press release—”was inspired by the allure of sexual submission, fearless beauty, and cinematographic voyeurism laced with sensual tension.” The campaign, “The Sex Is in the Heels,” included this racy film starring Victoria’s Secret model Candice Swanepoel, which the company created to capture the “modern woman’s desire for fantasy and control.” There was also a billboard featuring Swanepoel lounging on a couch while being caressed by two naked men. The billboard was banned from the same Madison Avenue building that houses Atwood’s store, and the film was deemed too risqué to run on the TVs in New York City taxis.
