For several seasons now, fashion has seen the gender normative cues of clothing rapidly merge or disintegrate. Luxury brands like Gucci, Jil Sander, Givenchy, and Calvin Klein have all recently merged their menswear and womenswear shows into one singular vision. Many times brands have sent out models of various genders in looks that were remarkably similar, if not identical. Not since Halston proposed unisex bodysuits in the 1970s, or the glam rock insanity of the ’70s and ‘80s, have we seen such a radical shift in how people dress.

This season runs the gamut from overt subversion to elegant abstraction. Thom Browne presented a menswear show that merging the tailoring in a male and female wardrobe (literally combining tuxedo and gown in the finale, as seen in the runway video). Other brands like Cèline and Jil Sander presented a more subdued and deconstructed take on the broad, armor-like suits of the 1940s and 1980s.

Either way, you now have nearly double the choice in what you choose to shop for next season. Here are a few of our favorite looks to consider for spring in 2018:
