Louis Vuitton Goes to Rio

Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière held his latest runway show at the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum in Rio de Janeiro. With A-listers like Alessandra Ambrosio, Catherine Deneuve, Zendaya, Alicia Vikander and Jaden Smith in attendance, models used the museum’s winding walkway as an elaborate catwalk. The biggest hits of the resort collection? Brightly-colored asymmetrical dresses, motocross-themed garments and accessories, and a classic Vuitton trunk refashioned to look like a boombox. “Tropicality and urbanity were my big themes,” said Ghesquière. “I had to pay tribute to the country we are in, but also bring some of Paris with me.”
