Marc Jacobs: Fierce Fall

Trotting out a series of classic goth references—from Beetlejuice to the band Kiss—Marc Jacobs’ ready-to-wear collection for the Fall/Winter 2016-17 was one of the few highlights of New York’s Fashion Week. The show’s minimalist set allowed the dramatic outfits—feather-embellished coats, platform boots, gowns that seemed to come straight out of the Victorian era—to dominate center stage as the models (including Lady Gaga and Kendall Jenner) presented them to a rapt audience. “It was an incredible experience,” said model/actress Emily Ratajkowski, who attended the show along with other A-listers like Maggie Gyllenhaal and Christina Ricci. “He outdid himself again.”
