Yazbukey—sexy, pop style
Tongue-in-cheeky fashion that Hollywood loves

Fashionistas around the globe have embraced the playfully charming accessories created by Paris-based designer, Yaz Kurhan. After working with such amazing designers like Alexander McQueen and Jeremy Scott, Yaz started her own line, Yazbukey, with her sister, Emel Kurhan in 2000.
The quirky style of Yazbukey is immediately recognizable. Colorful plexiglass bags, earrings, and necklaces vamp up a plain LBD or jeans and a white-t. And recently the sisters have moved on to broaches, shoe charms, iPhone cases, and now clothing!
To showcase their spring/summer 2017 line, they created one of their graphic short fashion videos (don’t miss their theatrical earlier “shows,” My Heart Belongs to Paris and Gardens of Pleasure). This one, Fuel Injection, is reminiscent of the movie Grease, with a major role reversal: rather than greasy boys with wrenches, we see a gang of hot-jock girls preparing for an illegal car race. The stylish women prance, dance, and preen for the camera, showing off their fierce looks.

Fans of the line, called Yazettes, include Britney Spears, Madonna, Mick Jagger, Dave Gahan, Courtney Love, Kylie and Dannii Minogue, and Isabelle Hupert. To become part of Yazbukeyland, Yaz recommends “starting with our signature piece, C’est Ahhh.” That red-lipped orgasmic mouth shows up on almost everything they make—from earrings to furniture.
We can’t wait to see what they’re doing for Fall/Winter 2018.
