The New Mutants is the story of five young mutants, including Maisie Williams, who are just discovering their superpowers while being held captive at a secret facility. The cast includes many other recognizable teenage stars. The teen mutants try to save themselves in what appears to be a really scary Marvel film. The New Mutants opens August 13.
Men in Black: International brings us a new cast, and we welcome Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth as agents M and agent H. Tessa Thompson has three films this summer. Their mission is to find a mole in the Men in Black organization as they travel worldwide. Love it. Opens June 14.
Yesterday is Danny Boyle‘s new film. He directed the Academy Award winner Slumdog Millionaire and our favorite film of his Trainspotting. Himesh Patel heads up the cast with Lily James, Kate McKinnon and James Corden. An aspiring songwriter suddenly realizes he is the only one in the world who knows The Beatles and their music. Could be lots of fun. Opens June 28.
Our favorite this summer is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood directed by Quentin Taratino with an all-star cast led by Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie. It’s the story of a B actor and his buddy/body double set against the summer of 1969 in Los Angeles as the Manson family reigns terror on Tinseltown. Opens on July 26 with a huge cast of talented actors. We cannot wait for this one.
Where’d You Go, Bernadette is from director Richard Linklater who broke into the Indie film world with Dazed and Confused. Cate Blanchett stars as Bernadette Fox a Seattle married mother who appears to have it all. She suddenly disappears and her husband and daughter search to solve the mystery. We’re in. Opens August 16.
The Kitchen looks absolutely amazing and stars Elizabeth Moss, Melissa McCarthy and an amazing cast. The wives of NYC gang bosses of Hell’s Kitchen in the 1970s continue to run the “business” after their gangster husbands are sent off to prison. There’s no trailer yet, but it opens August 9. Save us seats!

David Crosby: Remember My Name is a documentary that has gotten rave reviews at film festivals. Directed by A.J. Eaton and opening July 19, the film is an intimate portrait of David Crosby, his music and his life. This guy is the energizer bunny of some of the greatest music of our time. We’re going to be checking for a trailer daily because we can’t wait.

Them That Follow is a mysterious cult film that stars Academy Award winner Olivia Colman and Kaitlyn Dever. Set in the deep woods of Appalachia where a snake handling cult is the local religion until a secret threatens the community. A thriller for sure. Opens June 21. No trailer is available yet.

Blinded by the Light is the adventures of a Muslim teenage boy in 1987 Britain who is learning to live life through the music of Bruce Springsteen. The word is really good on this one. Endorsed by The Boss himself. Opens August 14.
Ending the list with a bang or lots and lots of bangs. Welcome back Keanu! John Wick: Chapter 3- Parabellum opens May 16 and in IMAX theaters too. Keanu Reeves reprises his coolest role ever as John Wick, and he is surrounded by an incredible cast including a very gorgeous Halle Berry. Our favorite super assassin is on the run and being chased by assorted hit men and women with a $14 million reward on his head. To paraphrase, hold on to your seats, it’s going to be a bumpy night – to say the very least.
