The ’70s were a time of sexual revolution and questioning values, and Southern California was the epicenter of change. In a new film from writer-director Mike Mills (“Beginners”), Annette Bening stars in 20th Century Women as the matriarch of a family who is living the quintessential drama of their era. Elle Fanning, Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup, and Lucas Jade Zumann fill out the cast. 20th Century Women premieres at the New York Film Festival on October 8, and opens in theaters on December 25.
