March is women’s history month. While International Women’s Day (March 8th) fell on daylight’s savings this year, thus diminishing the day by one hour, at least we still get the whole month of March. In honor of that, let’s take a look at 5 actresses you should get to know this year.

ALEXA DEMIE

This 25-year-old has only been acting professionally since 2015, but she has quickly proven that she is someone to watch. After landing guest spots on Ray Donovan, Love, and The OA, Demie landed a main role on the HBO series Euphoria and roles in the movies Mid90s and Waves. In addition to being a talented actress, she is also a singer and songwriter.

LASHANA LYNCH

Lynch first gained world-wide recognition for her role as fighter-pilot Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel. After that she was cast as Nomi in the upcoming James Bond movie, No Time To Die. What’s so exciting about her role in the new Bond film is that her character is another M16 agent, and in Bond’s retirement, she takes on the mantle of 007.

MARGARET QUALLEY

She may be the daughter of Hollywood star Andie MacDowell, but Margaret Qualley has quickly proven she is a talent in her own right. She first gained recognition for her role in the HBO series The Leftovers. Her biggest successes came this past year with an Emmy nomination for her role in the FX series Fosse/Verdon and with her role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
