Netflix's 2021: Zendaya, Leo DiCaprio, Halle Berry +

Netflix recently announced that for the entirety of 2021, they will be releasing a new movie every week. And can we just say, we are thrilled. It’s clear that we will be spending most of this next year, like we did last year, at home, and we’re thrilled that we’ll have so many movies to look forward to. We will list out all the so far announced Netflix titles, and their release dates. But first, here are 12 movies that we’re excited for.

The Dig (1/29)
Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes star in this historical drama about two medieval burial grounds that were unearthed on a woman’s property in 1939 England.
Malcolm & Marie (2/5)
Zendaya and John David Washington star in this black-and-white two-hander about a couple who take stock of their relationship after an important night.

I Care a Lot (2/19)
Rosamund Pike stars as a shady legal guardian who finds herself in over her head when she tries to swindle an old woman (Dianne Wiest) with mob ties.

TBD RELEASES
America: The Motion Picture
This animated, r-rated, revisionist tale of American history will feature the voice talents of Channing Tatum as George Washington, along with Simon Pegg and Judy Greer.
Blonde
Ana de Armas stars in this biopic based on the Joyce Carol Oates novel as blonde bombshell, and 1950’s sex symbol Marilyn Monroe.
The Woman In The Window
Amy Adams stars in this psychological thriller as an agoraphobic woman who becomes convinced that her next door neighbor (Julianne Moore) was murdered.
Bruised
Halle Berry’s directorial debut follows a former MMA fighter (Berry) who struggles to regain custody of her son, and her former career success.
Tick, Tick…Boom!
Lin-Manuel Miranda makes his directorial debut with this film adaptation of Jonathan Larson’s musical. Andrew Garfield stars in the film.
Red Notice
This upcoming action flick set in the world of international espionage has an all-star cast that includes Gal Gadot, Ryan Raynolds, and Dwayne Johnson.
Don’t Look Up
Adam McKay’s newest film follows a pair of low-level astronomers who try to convince the public that a giant comet is on its way to destroy earth.
Pinocchio
Guillermo del Toro brings us a new dark take on the classic story of a puppet who dreams of being a real boy with this stop-motion animated musical.
Born To Be Murdered
John David Washington and Alicia Vikander star as a young couple who become trapped in a dangerous conspiracy while vacationing in Greece.
