Although he has fewer than a dozen feature films to his name, British director Adrian Lyne, has undoubtedly made a name for himself. Below we look at his five sexiest movies.

Flashdance

This 80s classic follows 18-year-old Alex Owens (Jennifer Beals), a steelworker by day and exotic dancer by night. Her dream, however, is to get into a prestigious ballet academy. Even if you’ve never seen this movie, you may be familiar with the iconic soundtrack and the off-the-shoulder sweatshirt trend this film spawned.

9½ Weeks

Move over 50 Shades of Gray. This erotic drama chronicles a sexual affair between an art gallery assistant, Elizabeth (Kim Basinger), and a mystery man, John (Mickey Rourke). While the pair hardly know each other, they engage in a series of increasingly kinky sexual antics. If you loved Secretary, this movie is for you.

Fatal Attraction

Even if you haven’t seen this movie, you’ve heard all about it. It is about the aftermath of a one-night-stand between married man, Dan Gallagher (Michael Douglas) and Alex Forrest (Glenn Close). This movie also marks a singular trend for Lyne of centering his projects around infidelity.

Indecent Proposal

In another movie about infidelity, billionaire John (Robert Redford) offers one million dollars to a young couple, Diana and David Murphy (Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson), in exchange for spending one night with Diana. Let’s face it, if Robert Redford offered you a million bucks to have sex with him for one night–you probably wouldn’t say no.

Unfaithful

And finally, we have, you guessed it, another sexy movie dealing with infidelity. Connie Sumner (Diane Lane) has the perfect life and a loving husband, Edward (Richard Gere), but she wants more. When she meets sexy Paul Martel (Olivier Martinez), she begins an affair with him that culminates with deadly consequences.
