American Animals is Wild
Evan Peters Stars in the Heist/Thriller

Fans of the frightening TV series American Horror Story recognize the adorkable Evan Peters as one of two actors (Sarah Paulson is the other) to appear in all seven seasons. With the two both committed to season eight, we know we’re in for an equally scary ride come this fall when it airs. Evan is also the mutant Quicksilver, a member of the X-men, who made his jaw-dropping super-speed debut in the Days of Future Past (2014). His next Quicksilver appearance isn’t until Valentine’s Day, 2019 in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
To tide us over, we can’t wait to see Evan’s newest film, American Animals. He stars as a bored suburbanite who convinces his best friend (Barry Keoghan of Dunkirk) to pull off the near-impossible heist of the most valuable book in the world. With the help of two friends, Blake Jenner—so good in Everybody Wants Some!!—and Jared Abrahamsson, these four lunatics attempt to steal the book with an intricate plan worthy of Ocean’s 11.
Directed by Bart Layton, who is best known for his thrilling documentary The Imposter (2012), this quirky, nail-biter is a giant nod to the OG of heist flicks, Quentin Tarantino, with a lot of references to his brilliant robbery-gone-wrong movie, Reservoir Dogs.
American Animals opens June 1st.
