SCARIEST TRAILER EVER
ANTLERS Will Have You Checking Under The Bed

The trailer just dropped for a new horror movie, Antlers, produced by the modern master of horror (and all things weird) himself, Guillermo del Toro. Of course, it looks terrifying, even the sound design sends shivers down my spine. Side note, I think the sound design in this movie is going to be wonderful.
According to the plotline released by Fox Searchlight, Antlers is set in small-town Oregon and is about a teacher, Julia Meadows (Keri Russel), and her brother, Paul Meadows (Jesse Plemons), the local sheriff, who discover that one of her students, a young boy named Lucas Weaver (Jeremy T. Thomas) has a dangerous secret. What that secret is, we’ll just have to wait and find out, but. Seriously, this trailer is actually spine-tinglingly creepy, my words cannot do justice just how unsettled this trailer made me feel.
Antlers was directed by Scott Cooper, from a script written by C. Henry Chaisson and Nick Antosca. The script was based on Antosca’s short story, “The Quiet Boy,” which was published in Guernica Magazine, so if you really want spoilers, that may be where to look. Then again, Antlers could be an entirely different plot that was just inspired by a short story. It was produced by del Toro, along with David S. Goyer and J. Miles Dale.
A release date has not been announced, but expect it to come out sometime in 2020.
