The Craft
This cult classic follows new-girl-at-school, Sarah (Robin Tunney), who is befriended by a trio of girls who believe they are witches (Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell and Rachel True). It turns out they are witches but Sarah is the most powerful of them all. Their new-found powers consume them and Sarah has to decide if she wants to remain friends with them. The Illusionist
Eisenheim the Illusionist (Edward Norton) is a magician who wows everyone with his tricks. But there is someone who is not as impressed, the Crown Prince Leopold (Rufus Sewell). Leopold and Eiseheim are both in love with Duchess Sophie von Teschen (Jessica Biel). Practical Magic
Sally (Sandra Bullock) and Gillian Owens (Nicole Kidman) are sisters born into an otherworldly family. The pair, although magical, have mostly eschewed using witchcraft. The Prestige
In this Christopher Nolan paranormal thriller, Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) and Alfred Borden (Christian Bale) are former friends and rival magicians. When Borden performs a trick in which he seemingly teleports, Angier becomes determined to unearth the mechanisms behind the method and goes to dangerous lengths to do so. Spirited Away
In this animated Miyazaki classic, 10-year-old Chihiro (Rumi Hiiragi) and her parents stumble upon what they believe is an abandoned amusement park. When Chihiro’s parents are turned into pigs, she learns they are actually in a place populated by supernatural beings. She must work to break the curse and free herself and her parents. Stardust
In this magical adventure, Tristan (Charlie Cox) enters the realm of the fairies to retrieve a fallen star. Instead, he finds Yvaine (Claire Danes), a mystical woman who is in grave danger. A group of murderous princes are hunting her and want to steal her magic to secure the throne. She is also chased by an evil witch (Michelle Pfeiffer) who wants to steal her eternal beauty.
