Who’s your favorite Hollywood Chris? Is it Chris Pine? If Pine is not your favorite of the four Hollywood Chrises—this is not to imply there are only four men in Hollywood with the name Chris, but for those who don’t know, the term “The Hollywood Chrises” is used to mean Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pine and Chris Pratt—we can at least agree he’s a wonderful actor. In addition to being wonderfully talented, and attractive, he also seems like a genuinely nice person. Let’s take a look at Pine’s upcoming projects now.

Wonder Woman 1984

We’re not sure how he’s back after the way he went out in the first Wonder Woman, but we’re excited to see Pine return as Steve Trevor in the Wonder Woman sequel. This movie, set in 1984, (if you hadn’t guessed), follows Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) as she faces two new enemies: Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) and The Cheetah (Kristen Wiig). Wonder Woman 1984 opens in theaters and on HBO Max on December 25, 2020.

 

Violence of Action

Pine stars in this upcoming action/thriller as James Reed. After the Marines involuntarily discharge Reed, he joins a paramilitary group to protect his family. Gillian Jacobs and Ben Foster also star.

 

Don’t Worry Darling 

Olivia Wilde’s next directorial project is a psychological thriller set in the 1950s. It centers around an unhappy housewife named Alice (Florence Pugh). She begins to question her sanity when bizarre events unfold around her. The cast also includes Gemma Chan, Harry Styles, and KiKi Layne.

Newsflash

This dramatic biopic follows CBS news anchor Walter Cronkite (Pine). On the afternoon of November 22, 1963, Cronkite was tasked with breaking the news about President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. Mark Ruffalo also stars.

 

All the Old Knives

This upcoming thriller follows two CIA agents, former lovers, as they reunite in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, to reexamine if a six-year-old mission compromised a fellow agent. The movie also stars Thandie Newton, Jonathan Pryce, and Laurence Fishburne.

 

Untitled Star Trek Sequel

No plot details are known yet, but Pine will reprise his role as Captain James T. Kirk in the fourth Star Trek movie. Noah Hawley will direct from a script he wrote. Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, and John Cho will also return to their roles.
