Café Society, Woody Allen’s new bittersweet romance set in the 1930s, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May and opened in theaters in July. Bronx-born Bobby Dorfman (Jesse Eisenberg) moves to Hollywood and falls for the secretary (Kristen Stewart) of his uncle Phil (Steve Carell), an agent to the stars. In a whirl of glitz, glamour and gangsters, he becomes caught up in the vibrant high-society nightclub life. Cinematography by the legendary Vittorio Storaro (Last Tango in Paris; Apocalypse Now). “Goes down as easy as a fizzy cocktail.”—Todd McCarthy, The Hollywood Reporter.
