Common got his start as a rapper, but he has proven himself a competent and talented actor over the last few years. He started acting in 2003 when he guest-starred on the UPN TV show Girlfriends. He made his feature film debut as the villainous mob enforcer Sir Ivy in the 2006 crime film Smokin’ Aces. Since then, he has taken on more acting work, including roles in Selma, John Wick: Chapter 2, and The Hate U Give. He’s even played himself a few times in Entourage, Girls Trip, and Ocean’s Eight. Let’s take a look at his upcoming projects.
