'Black Panther' Star Closes Manhattan in 21 Bridges
Chadwick Boseman’s got a new movie coming out this fall, and this time he’s not wearing a super-suit.
In the gritty crime-drama 21 Bridges, Boseman stars as a disgraced NYPD detective who gets a shot at redemption when he is brought in to track down a pair of dangerous cop killers. In order to prevent them from escaping Manhattan, he puts the entire island on lockdown for the night. Throughout the course of the manhunt he uncovers a massive conspiracy that just may implicate some of his fellow officers in unscrupulous dealings.
Produced by Anthony and Joe Russo of Avengers fame, 21 Bridges was written by Adam Mervis and directed by Brian Kirk. In addition to Boseman, it also stars Sienna Miller, J.K. Simmons, and Taylor Kitsch.
21 Bridges will be released in theaters on September 27, 2019.
