EMILY BLUNT DOMINATES
Her 5 Best Roles + Upcoming Work

Emily Blunt may be an underrated actress, but once you see her onscreen, she won’t let you forget her. As one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actresses, the range of characters she’s played is vast, and many of the movies she’s been in earned big money at the box office (we’re talking hundreds of millions of dollars).
Blunt has 48 credits to her name so far, and so much more to achieve. With that said, here’s a ranking of five of her best–but practically all of her movies can be argued they belong in the top spot.
#5: The Devil Wears Prada (2006)
It’s been 15 years since The Devil Wears Prada came out. It’s credited as Blunt’s breakout role that put her on the map. She plays Emily Charlton, the assistant of the ever-so-terrifying magazine editor Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), and frenemy of Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway). She had big shoes to fill alongside other big actresses, and she managed to shine along with them.
#4: Sicario (2015)
Sicario is an action film that Blunt stars in as FBI agent Kate Macer, who just received a top assignment regarding the war on drugs. She stars with Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin in this intense movie. It’s nice to see her in a total badass role.

#3: Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
In this action-packed sci-fi film, Blunt takes on Rita Vrataski, an alien-fighting soldier who helps Major William Cage (Tom Cruise) repeatedly relive the same brutal battle and death. The movie is adapted from “All You Need Is Kill,” a novel by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. It may be ranked third on this list, but it earned the most at the box office–so it’s one to watch!
#2: The Girl on the Train (2016)
The Girl on the Train is another one of Blunt’s best. Based on a thriller book by the same name, Blunt plays the leading role of Rachel Watson, a seemingly normal woman who commutes by train. Each day, she catches glimpses of a couple named Scott (Luke Evans) and Megan (Haley Bennet), whom she believes to be perfect–until one day, she sees something she wishes she didn’t. Megan goes missing and is feared dead, and as Rachel tries to put the pieces together, she also becomes a suspect.
#1: A Quiet Place (2018)
A Quiet Place is a horror film like no other. Directed by John Krasinski, Blunt’s husband, she stars alongside his character, Lee Abbott, as his wife, Evelyn Abbott. Together, they play parents of a small family that’s secluded from everything and everyone. They’re forced to live in a world where even the slightest of sounds could get you killed–so will they survive? (Spoiler alert: A Quiet Place Part II came out this year if that tells you anything.) She and Krasinski work their power-couple magic in this movie, making it the top spot for me, and it almost doesn’t seem like acting, which is both amazing and terrifying.
