Emma Roberts may currently be expecting her first child with partner Garrett Hedlund, but that doesn’t mean she’s taking a break from her booming career. Julia Roberts’ niece has been acting steadily since her breakout role as Addie Singer on Nickelodeon’s Unfabulous. She currently has a full slate of upcoming projects, in both film and television, that we want to look at now.

Holidate

Roberts stars opposite Luke Bracey in this Netflix Christmas-themed movie. It follows Sloane (Roberts) and Jackson (Bracey), who, annoyed with being pestered continuously by their families for being single, decide to be each other’s dates for holiday functions. The longer they get to know each other, the more they start to fall in love. Holidate streams on Netflix beginning on October 28, 2020.

Saurus City 

This family-friendly, stop-motion animation movie focuses on a knight trying to restore order to his once-thriving dinosaur kingdom. In addition to Roberts, the film features Aimee Garcia, Dennis Quaid, Ron Perlman, and Tim Meadows.

 

Tell Me Lies

Roberts is adapting the Carola Lovering novel of the same name into a miniseries for Hulu. It  focuses on Lucy Albright (Roberts), a young woman obsessed with Stephen DeMarco, a charming man. The story alternates between both characters’ points of view and follows them from California to New York.

Robots

Elaine (Roberts), a gold digger, and Charles (Jack Whitehall), a womanizer, must team up to track down their robot doubles who have run amok. Along the way, they learn the error of their ways and how to become better people.

Now I See You

Roberts stars as Nicole Kear who is a senior at Yale University. She learns that she will become blind in just a few years. She is determined to make the most of the time she has left with her vision and figure out how to move forward when her world goes dark.

Betches

As of now, Roberts is the only actor attached to this animated comedy series. The show is based on the young woman-aimed humor website and an Instagram account of the same name.

Anya’s Ghost

Based on the graphic novel of the same name, Anya’s Ghost is a supernatural comedy that follows unpopular 16-year-old Anya. When Anya is stranded in a cave, she meets Emily (Roberts), the ghost of a girl who died a century earlier.
