FLORENCE PUGH’S BADASS ROLES
Ranking Black Widow, Midsommar, The Little Drummer Girl+

Florence Pugh is one of the hottest actresses in the biz right now. She has been on the rise since her debut in 2014, but it was 2019’s Midsommar that launched her into U.S. success. Now, she has joined the Marvel family and will star alongside Harry Styles in Olivia Wilde’s sophomore film, Don’t Worry Darling.
To celebrate her success and congratulate her on Black Widow, we’ve ranked her most badass roles. Enjoy, PROVOKRs.
4. FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY
Fighting With My Family is a surprising gem. Based on a true story, Pugh plays the British female professional wrestler Saraya Knight. Pugh transforms herself, dying her hair and donning a lip ring. But in this performance, she is as witty and daring as any of her other roles. Not to mention it’s an entirely wholesome film and stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. What more could you ask for?

3. BLACK WIDOW
It was only a matter of time before The MCU recruited Pugh. When Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, finally got her standalone film, fans went wild. Then, when it came out in July, people came away with a newfound appreciation for Pugh, who steals the show.
She portrays Yelena Belova, Black Widow’s sister. She uses an impressive Russian accent and kicks so much ass. She and Scarlett Johansson have undeniable chemistry, so we’re holding out for more collaborations featuring the pair.
Pugh will reprise her role as the agent in the Disney+ series Hawkeye. She is on a mission to take him down, so she will be a prominent force in the series.
2. THE LITTLE DRUMMER GIRL
Can’t get enough of Pugh? Luckily she doesn’t only do films. Before Midsommar, there was Little Drummer Girl, a sexy spy thriller on AMC. She stars alongside Michael Shannon and Alexander Skarsgard, but she grabs our attention. In the series, we get to see a more seductive, lethal side that hypnotizes us.

1. MIDSOMMAR
And finally, we’ve come to the one that launched her current career. Midsommar, Ari Aster’s sophomore film, is a psychedelic movie about a Scandinavian cult. She plays the protagonist, Dani, a woman who travels with her boyfriend and friends to visit the cult. Again, Pugh delivers a haunting and emotional performance — one that stuck with us long after it was over. Pugh is a force to be reckoned with, and no one can stand in her way.
