Greta, a Stalker Story

Chloe Grace Moretz, Isabelle Huppert star

As if Netflix‘s frightening tale of love-gone-nuts, You, isn’t enough to scare us out of ever trusting someone again, we get the new chiller thriller, Greta. Directed by The Crying Game’Neil Jordan, who knows his way around a sexual mystery, Greta tells the story of a seemingly normal widow who becomes dangerously obsessed with a young woman after they meet—seemingly—by accident.

The now-very grownup Chloê Grace Moretz (Kickass) plays Frances, a sweet, doe-eyed waitress who has recently lost her mother. When she finds a handbag, almost too perfectly placed on a subway seat, naturally she sets off to find the owner of the lost purse. She meets Greta, a gorgeous French piano teacher played by the gorgeous French Isabelle Huppert, who in 2001 played The Piano Teacher.

The two hit it off and begin an innocent friendship set in the beautiful city of New York. But things quickly turn weird and not in a good way, when Greta becomes obsessed and starts to lose her goddamn mind over poor little Frances. If you think You’s Penn Badgley was completely crazy when he locked people in his bookstore basement, he’s got nothing over the Greta’s psycho killer act.

Will Frances survive her nutzo attacker? You’ll have to wait until Greta opens on March 1st to find out.
