HARRY STYLES ACTS UP
His 2 Films: Don’t Worry Darling + My Policeman

Harry Styles’ break-out came in 2010 on the X-Factor. Following his elimination on the British music competition reality TV show, Styles went on to join the juggernaut boy band One Direction. As a member of “1D,” Styles became a fixture on the decoupaged bedroom walls of teen girls in the early-2010s.
By 2017, Styles had gone solo on a self-titled album. That same year he took his first film role,
Alex in Director Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk. Since then Style has continued to push his artistic expression with film, music and fashion. After co-chairing the “Camp” themed Met Gala in 2019, Styles became the first man to appear solo on the cover of Vogue —wearing a Gucci gown.
Here’s what he’s up to next:

Don’t Worry Darling
Currently in post-production, this is a psychological thriller from Director Olivia Wilde. A 1950s period piece, Styles plays a husband keeping a secret from his unhappy housewife (Florence Pugh). The film also co-stars Chris Pine as a cult-like leader. This movie is co-written by Katie Silberman, who was also a screenwriter on Wilde’s directorial debut, Booksmart.
Wilde announced via social media that the film started shooting in October 2020. According to Deadline, Styles replaced Shia LaBeouf (allegedly) due to a last minute scheduling conflict. The director confirmed in a social media photo that principal photography wrapped earlier this week.

My Policeman
Another 1950s period piece, this film is based on the novel of the same name by Bethan Roberts. The film is currently in pre-production under British actor/director Michael Grandage, with a script by Ron Nyswaner (an Oscar nominee for 1994’s Philadelphia). Styles is set to portray Tom, a gay policeman who is arrested for indecency, following a report by his wife Marion (The Crown star Emma Corrin).

Faster, Cheaper, Better
Styles is rumored to be taking the leading role in this drama about Artificial Intelligence. The writer/director Dan Gilroy has described the story as spanning 20 year and multiple narratives to show how AI will change the world. Gilroy is an Oscar nominee for his Nightcrawler script. He also wrote and directed Jake Gyllenhall in the Netflix acquired Velvet Buzzsaw.
