There's No Clowning Around In Derry, Indiana
This clown’s not fooling around. 27 years after the events of 2017’s It, Pennywise returns to terrify the down of Derry and to seek revenge on the Losers Club. Now adults, the members of the Losers Club have all gone their separate ways, most of them moving away from Derry. Mike, was the only original member to stay. When kids start disappearing again, Mike, still haunted by his first round with Pennywise, calls the rest of the Losers back to Derry to take down the clown for a second time. These losers really can’t catch a break.
The film stars James McAvoy as adult Bill Denbrough (Jaeden Lieberher in chapter 1), Jessica Chastain as adult Beverly Marsh (Sophia Lilis in chapter 1), Jay Ryan as adult Ben Hanscom (Jeremy Ray Taylor in chapter 1), Bill Hader as adult Richie Tozier (Finn Wolfhard in chapter 1), Isaiah Mustafa as adult Mike Hanlon (Chosen Jacobs in chapter 1), James Ransone as adult Eddie Kaspbrak (Jack Dylan Grazer in chapter 1), and Andy Bean as adult Stanley Uris (Wyatt Oleff in chapter 1). Bill Skarsgård reprises his role as the dancing clown who’s been giving us all nightmares for decades, Pennywise.
It Chapter 2 was directed by Andy Muschietti, from a script written by Gary Dauberman, based on the 1986 novel, It, by Stephen King. It Chapter 2 had its world premiere at the Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles, California on August 26, 2019
It Chapter 2 will be released in the US by Warner Bros. in theaters on September 6, 2019.
