Must-See Featurette On The Judy Garland Biopic
Get ready to fly over the rainbow with Judy, the dramatic biopic about the last year in the life of the legendary Judy Garland and her sold-out performances at the Talk of the Town in London, has been getting a lot of hype. It had its world premiere on August 30, 2019 at the Telluride Film Festival (if you haven’t checked out our write-up of the best films from Telluride, do so, Judy is of course on the list), and it received a standing ovation. Not only that, but the film, and Renée Zellweger’s performance as Garland in particular, have been generating a lot of early Oscar buzz.
While you patiently wait for Judy to come to a theater near you, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release in the US on September 27, 2019 and in the UK on October 2, 2019, check out this awesome featurette that was just released. Judy is directed by Rupert Goold with a script written by Tom Edge, itself adapted from Peter Quilter’s award-winning play End of the Rainbow.
