LADY GAGA + ADAM DRIVER
House of Gucci + Their Projects

Fashion heir Maurizio Gucci was killed by an unknown gunman in Milan in 1995. His ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani was nicknamed “the black widow” and sentenced to prison for arranging the murder. But did she really arange for the murder? And was it out of jealousy or for money?
Based on the journalist Sara Gay Forden’s book of the same name, Director Ridley Scott tells this notorious crime story with a star studded cast featuring Adam Driver as Maurizio Gucci, and Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggiani.
Recent leaked set photos of Driver and Gaga’s period costumes have become internet sensations.
The killer ensemble also includes Al Pacino as Aldo Gucci, Jared Leto as Paolo Gucci, Salma Hayek as Pina Auriemma, and Jeremy Irons as Rodolfo Gucci.
While the House of Gucci is still filming, let’s take a moment to look at these Gaga and Driver’s announced (and rumored) upcoming projects:

Lady Gaga
Bullet Train.
In this upcoming action thriller from David Leitch (behind Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, and Hobbs & Shaw) five strangers on a train —a Japanese bullet train— are assassins who soon learn that there is a link between their respective targets.
In addition to Gaga, the ensemble cast includes Brad Pitt as Ladybug, Sandra Bullock as Maria, Joey King (of The Kissing Booth and The Act) as Prince, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (the lead in Kick-Ass, and Pietro Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron) as Tangerine,
The screenplay by Zak Olkewicz was based on the novel Maria Beetle by Kōtarō Isaka.
This film is currently in post-production, and no firm release date has been announced.

Adam Driver
The Last Duel
Another team up between Driver and director Ridley Scott. This film is based on the 2004 book of the same by medieval literature professor Eric Jager.
Both the movie and book tell the story of the “duel to end all duels” between french knight Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon) and squire Jacques LeGris (Driver), over the honor Marguerite de Carrouges (Emmy winner Jodie Comer of Killing Eve). This fight was the pay-per-view event of 1386, and even King Charles VI showed up to watch them battle to the death.
Somehow Ben Affleck will portray King Charles VI, who was actually a teenager when the real life events on The Last Duel took place.
In addition to acting in the film, Affleck and Damon wrote the screenplay, with Nicole Holofcener (a pen behind the Melissa McCarthy film Can You Ever Forgive Me?).
The Last Duel is in post-production and currently scheduled for release in mid-October 2021.
Annette
This musical drama will be the english language debut feature from Leos Carax’s, the mind-bending director of 2012’s Holy Motors.
Driver plays stand-up comedian Henry McHenry. In the film, he and his opera singer wife Ann DelGreco (Oscar winner Marion Cotillard) have a young daughter with an amazing ability. Additionally, Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz on The Big Bang Theory) will portray The Conductor, and Belgian pop singer Angèle has an (as of yet) undisclosed role.
The film will feature songs by brothers Ron and Russell Mael of the band Sparks —who are to be featured in Edgar Wright’s upcoming documentary.
Annette was co-produced by Amazon Studios, and it has been in development since 2016. At early stages Rooney Mara, Michelle Williams, and Rihanna were attached but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
The film has completed post-production, but no release date has yet been confirmed.
65
Driver will star in the science fiction film from writer/director duo Scott Beck and Bryan Woods —they were both writers for actor/director John Krasinski’s sci-fi horror film The Quiet Place. Beck and Woods also wrote/directed an episode of the short form series 50 States of Fright for 65’s producer, Sam Raimi.
So far the plot and concept of 65 has been kept tightly under wraps.
Its cast also includes child actresses Ariana Greenblatt (Young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War), and Chloe Coleman (who starred opposite Dave Bautista in My Spy).
After completing principal photography in Louisiana’s Kisatchie National Forest, it has been announced that this film is already in post-production.
White Noise
An upcoming Netflix project rumored to be in pre-production with Noah Baumbach adapting Don DeLillo’s book of the same name. If the rumors are correct, Driver will portray Jack, and Baumbach’s wife actress/writer/director Greta Gerwig will co-star as Babette Gladney.
Don’t expect this project until at least after you get your COVID booster shots sometime in 2022.
Yankee Commandante
The shooting schedule for this Jeff Nichols’ (behind Mud, Take Shelter, and Loving) historical film doesn’t seem to have a firm start date as of yet. However, back in May 2020 Driver seemed attached to this film about William Morgan, a mob gun runner who fought both for and against Fidel Castro.
About a decade ago, George Clooney was developing his own film about the story, but it never materialized. Unfortunately Nicholas’ version project may have fallen through the cracks once again during the pandemic, and it’s unclear if Driver will still be part of the feature.
