Valerian is the new adventure film from esteemed director Luc Besson, a prolific movie maker who first made his mark with La Femme Nikita and has directed The Professional and most recently Lucy. Based on a comic book series, Valerian takes place in the 28th century on the planet Alpha where diverse species gather to share knowledge and culture. Coachella of the future? The costumes are outrageous, the art direction staggering and the cast is crazy with everyone from Clive Owen and Ethan Hawke to the girls Cara and Rihanna in this fantasy ride.
