If your biggest fear is aging, then M. Night Shyamalan’s latest venture might not be your cup of tea — unless you love being scared to death. His upcoming film, Old, takes us to the beach for a family vacation, but something strange happens there. It speeds up aging. 

 

So let the nightmares begin. It’s not one of those age accelerations where you’re instantly dead in an hour. No, it’s all about the agony. As the characters try to escape from the beach, they realize larger forces are at play. 

The trailer just came out — watch it here — and the cast is impressive. From boy band favorites to erotic film stars and our favorite actress from Sharp Objects, you’ll be rushing to buy a ticket — even if this is your worst nightmare come to life.

THOMASIN MCKENZIE

Thomasin McKenzie is poised to be the breakout star of 2021. Not only does she have a leading role in Old, but she’s also the co-lead alongside Anya-Taylor Joy in Edgar Wright’s Last Night In Soho. You may remember her as the girl in the cupboard in Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit. She is a force to be reckoned with, PROVOKRs.

RUFUS SEWELL

Night was able to land esteemed actor Rufus Sewell to play one of the stranded people on the beach. His talents are far-reaching with many TV and film roles, including Hamlet, A Knight’s Tale, The Man In The High Castle, and more.

ELIZA SCANLEN

Eliza Scanlen continues to impress us. After her breakout role on HBO’s Sharp Objects, she has cranked out top-tier work, which included starring in Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Little Women and leading the tearjerker drama Babyteeth. Scanlen has the scariest moment in the trailer by far when she suddenly becomes pregnant, and the fetus grows at warp speed.

GAEL GARCIA BERNAL

Yes, this is the hottie from Y Tu Mamá También. Gael Garcia Bernal’s 30-year career continues to amaze. He shows no signs of slowing down as he is set to star in five upcoming projects. 

ABBEY LEE

Abby Lee is the dynamic force that catches your attention in everything. After her breakout in Mad Max: Fury Road, the actress and model has starred in a handful of smaller-profile films. But she was a dominating force in HBO’s Lovecraft Country.

ALEX WOLFF 

So, you’re wondering how you know him. Not to be confused with his brother and bandmate Nat Wolff, Alex Wolff made a name for himself as part of The Naked Brothers Band. He was the lead in Ari Aster’s debut Hereditary. We see a theme budding in his career, and we have to say, we love it, PROVOKRs.
