Tom Cruise In A Stunning, Brilliant Sci-fi
We have been alerted of a crime here at PROVOKR. The precogs saw that Minority Report has never been the Movie of the Week. Being one of our favorites, we could not believe it. So, this is the week we make things right.
The skinny: The year is 2054. A policing unit known as Pre-Crime arrests people for just thinking about committing crimes: these cops get tips from psychics called precogs. Our hero, one of the said cops, finds himself fingered for thought crime and runs….and runs.
Let’s face it, nearly 20 years since its release, and this movie still kicks ass. It maintains a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. How could it not? Based on a Philip K. Dick story, Steven Spielberg, a musical score by John Williams, starring Tom Cruise, Colin Farrell, and the late, great Max Von Sydow.
We highly recommend this tech-noir.
