Don’t Worry, Darling is an upcoming psychological thriller set in the 1950s that centers around an unhappy housewife named Alice. She begins to question her sanity when bizarre events unfold around her. While not much is known about this Olivia Wilde directed picture, it does have a stellar cast. Let’s take a look at them now.
Florence Pugh
Who she will play: Pugh will star as the film’s heroine, Alice.
Where you know her from: Pugh has been busy ever since her breakout performance in 2016’s Lady Macbeth. She starred in Outlaw King, the miniseries The Little Drummer Girl, Midsommar, and Little Women, for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress Oscar at the Academy Awards.
Harry Styles
Who he will play: Styles will star as Alice’s husband, Jack.
Where you know him from: Styles got his star not as an actor, but as the frontman for British boy band One Direction. After the band split, he went on to a very successful career as a solo artist. He got his first acting gig in Christopher Nolan’s 2017 war epic, Dunkirk. Now, in addition to Don’t Worry, Darling, he is slated to be in My Policeman and Faster, Cheaper, Better.
Dakota Johnson
Who she will play: Unknown.
Where you know her from: While she has been steadily acting since 2010, Johnson shot to superstardom when she played Anastasia Steele in the 2015 adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey. She reprised her role in the film’s sequels. She was also in the 2018 Suspiria remake and The Peanut Butter Falcon.
Chris Pine
Who he will play: Unknown.
Where you know him from: In addition to Wilde, Pine might be the most established actor among this all-star cast. He first charmed us as Nicholas Devereaux in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. Since then, he’s gone on to star as Captain Kirk in the Star Trek reboot, and Steve Trevor in the Wonder Woman films. This film also marks his second time working with Pugh, who he starred opposite in Outlaw King.
Olivia Wilde
Who she will play: Unknown.
Where you know her from: Like Pine, Wilde is an established star. She first stole our hearts as Alex on The O.C. before she went on to House. In 2019, Wilde decided to work behind the camera and directed the independent film Booksmart, which was nominated for a BAFTA Best Screenplay.
