PROVOKR PICK: SHE DIES TOMORROW
Fear is Contagious for Michelle Rodriguez

Amy (Kate Lyn Sheil) wakes up with a sense of impending dread. She becomes convinced that she only has one day left to live. As her life begins to unravel over the next 24 hours, her fear of death becomes contagious. Now, her friends and family also believe their lives will come to an end. As the infectious fear continues to take hold on everyone Amy and her loved ones interact with, they all descend into madness.
Amy Seimetz wrote and directed this film, which she paid for with the money she made from her role in Pet Semetary. While the idea of mass hysteria and a contagious disease sounds a little too timely right now, the movie was not inspired by the current pandemic. Seimetz has said that she was inspired to write this script based on peoples’ reactions to her talking about her own anxiety attacks.
She Dies Tomorrow was initially supposed to premiere at South by Southwest on March 14. But the festival was canceled due to the coronavirus. Neon quickly acquired its distribution rights. It had a limited release set for July 31, 2020 and will now be available on-demand. She Dies Tomorrow has received high praise and currently holds a 90% certified fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
In addition to Sheil, the movie stars Jane Adams, Kentucker Audley, Chris Messina, Katie Aselton, Tunde Adebimpe, Jennifer Kim, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Michelle Rodriguez, Josh Lucas and Adam Wingard.
See She Dies Tomorrow on-demand starting August 7, 2020.
