Two years after the events of The Babysitter, Cole (Judah Lewis), now a high schooler, is having a hard time moving on with his life. Bee (Samara Weaving) and her satanic cult have seemingly disappeared, and everyone thinks Cole has lost his mind. Only Melanie (Emily Alyn Lind), Cole’s neighbor and crush, believes his stories. Melanie convinces Cole that he needs to move on from the past, and the best way to start that process is to go with her to a high school party on a lake.

If you’ve watched enough teen horror films, you probably know that teens partying by a lake is a recipe for disaster, and The Babysitter: Killer Queen is no different. Soon, Cole finds himself and his new classmates threatened by the return of the first movie’s satanic cult. Based on the trailer, it seems Cole might have to contend mainly with the ghosts of Bee’s friends Allison (Bella Thorne), Max (Robbie Amell), Sonya (Hana Mae Lee), and John (Andrew Bachelor). Don’t worry, while Bee is not listed on the film’s Wikipedia or IMDb page, but she is teased in the trailer, so there’s a good chance she will make an appearance.

McG, who directed The Babysitter, stepped back into the director’s chair to helm the sequel. This time, the script was written by McG and Dan Lagana instead of Brian Duffield. The sequel sees many of the film’s original characters, including Leslie Bibb and Ken Marino as Cole’s mom and dad. We will also meet a group of new characters who will have to help Cole defeat the evil undead. New actors include Jenna Ortega, Maximilian Acevedo, and Julio Cesar Chavez.

Watch The Babysitter: Killer Queen on Netflix September 10, 2020.
