ROSAMUND PIKE KILLS IT
A Seductive Villain Again in I Care A Lot w/ Peter Dinklage

In the new Rosamund Pike film, I Care A Lot, there are so many twists and turns it is almost impossible not to compare her performance to the role of Amy in Gone Girl. Pike plays Marla Grayson in the darkly comedic thriller that is streaming now on Netflix. Last month the film snagged Pike a Golden Globe nod for Best Actress (Musical or Comedy Film) —the third Globe nod of her career.
The Oscar-nominated and Emmy Award-winning actress is an Oxford graduate who started in British theater. Her film debut was as “Bond girl” Miranda Frost, the double-crossing agent in Die Another Day —the last of the Pierce Brosnan 007 outings.

Following the spy flick, Pike captured notable supporting roles in both American and British films, including Pride & Prejudice (as Jane Bennet), Barney’s Version (as Miriam Grant-Panofsky), Wrath of the Titans (as Queen Andromeda), and Jack Reacher (as Helen Rodin).
Pike’s film breakthrough came as Amy Dunne in Gone Girl. She received a Best Actress Oscar nod for her performance in the David Fincher-directed psychological thriller based on the bestselling book by screenwriter/novelist Gillian Flynn.

In I Care A Lot, Pike plays a character she believes could match wits with the “Amazing” Amy of Gone Girl, according to an interview with CinemaBlend.

I Care A Lot was helmed by director J Blakeson (behind the British neo-noir The Disappearance of Alice Creed) and co-stars Diane Weist and Peter Dinklage.
While Pike doesn’t have any announced movie projects on the horizon, she is involved in a pair of upcoming TV series:
The Wheel of Time
Based on Robert Jordan’s best-selling fantasy book series, the juggernaut franchise includes a video game, comic book, and a soundtrack album. It has been in development with Amazon Studios since 2018. Compared to Lord of The Rings in scope, this fantasy series blends inspiration from Tolstoy’s War and Peace with Asian mythology and religion.
The first season will focus on Pike’s character of Moiraine Damodred, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Three-Body Problem
This Netflix series is being developed by Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Pike is joining as a producer.
The series is based on the award-winning sci-fi trilogy by Liu Cixin. In 2015, it became the first book by an Asian author to win the prestigious Hugo Award for Best Novel.
