Iconic Sexy Horror Scenes
Halloween is right around the corner and everyone can expect the seasonal horror movies. Here, at PROVOKR, we love a good scary thriller. At anytime of the year, we also LOVE a good sexy scene. Who doesn’t? So, with that in mind, we decided to compile a list of some of the most erotic moments in the horror genre. A reminder: these clips are best enjoyed away from the office.
AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON
As you may have guessed from the title, this 80s classic is about American David Kessler (David Naughton) who happens to be a werewolf. Yes, it’s set in London. A scene that seems to resonate with viewers is the beautifully shot and steamy shower scene between David and Alex Price (Jenny Agutter). While it’s not the most sizzling session on this list, it definitely leaves an impression.
ANTICHRIST
Perhaps the image of Willem Dafoe’s rippling back muscles in the trailer of the Lars von Trier film is seared into your mind. If you remember the 2009 trailer as sexy, then rewatch the film’s opening scene. Steamy doesn’t begin to describe how raunchy and erotic it is. What sets this scene apart from all others, on this list, is that the encounter between Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg was not simulated. It was as real as can be because porn performers stepped in to replace the leads.
DON’T LOOK NOW
This horror movie about a couple grieving the loss of their young daughter is bleak and terrifying. But, within the darkness is one of the most tender, passionate scenes in the horror category. It comes relatively early in the film between a grieving couple, John (Donald Sutherland) and Laura Baxter (Julie Christie). While not as graphic as the one opening the Antichrist, it sizzles. What also sets it apart is how it gives equal time to pleasuring both John and Laura focusing on both their needs.
THE HUNGER
What mythological creature do you associate most with sex, is it vampires? No list of sexy scenes from horror movies would be complete without this erotic encounter between vampire Miriam (Catherine Deneuve) and her new lover/potential victim Sarah Roberts (Susan Sarandon). It manages to be the perfect mix of tender, seductive and haunting. The music adds to the general sense of foreboding and points to the danger lurking beneath Miriam’s sexy exterior. In vampire fiction, biting represents a sexual act. This movie offers ample moments to sink your teeth into.
JENNIFER’S BODY
Although the response to this 2009 Diablo Cody film was underwhelming, it’s developed a bona-fide cult following. There is a scene focusing on demon-possessed hottie Jennifer (Megan Fox) when she goes on a man-eating rampage. It stands out to all who have seen it. It’s the one between Jennifer and best friend Needy (Amanda Seyfried). Unlike the other scenes on this list, it’s a hot makeout session that doesn’t include sex. But, it is titillating enough to rank near the top of PROVOKR’s horror movies’ sexy scenes list.
