The Circle

In The Circle, Mae (Emma Watson) rises through the ranks of the world’s largest tech and social media company, encouraged to live her life with complete transparency. Company founder Eamon Bailey (Tom Hanks) describes his technology with the fervor of a preacher—“We will see it all. If it happens, we’ll know. Because knowing is good. But knowing everything is better.” The future looks full of potential for Mae as she settles in to her her dream job. But she gradually discovers that sharing everything has a down side. Because no one is really safe when everyone is watching.
