Wayne Wang, the director of The Joy Luck Club and some early indie favorites like Chan Is Missing, Dim Sum: A Little Bit of Heart and Eat a Bowl of Tea, brings to life the story of Sasha, a young Chinese woman studying in Nebraska who is four months pregnant. She goes to San Francisco to see the lover of the father of her baby, then befriends a high-priced call girl. Each encounter will push her toward life-changing decisions. The Princess of Nebraska stars Li Lang, Brian Danforth and Pamelyn Chee. You can stream it for free (above).
