Every scene is dripping with sex as Steve McQueen’s character, Thomas Crown, is outwitted by Faye Dunaway’s Vicki Anderson. The film follows Thomas, who pulls off a multi-million dollar heist only to match smarts with Vicki. You’re never sure who’s really in control, which brings out a seductive, playful quality in the movie. The film won one Oscar for Best Music, Original Song for “The Windmills of Your Mind.” It was also nominated for Best Music, Original Score.
The Thomas Crown Affair was remade with a twist in 1999 with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. That version follows a man who steals artwork and is outwitted by a seductive detective.
