Zombie Attacks Ensue in Peninsula

If you’re a fan of zombies and post-apocalyptic entertainment, have we got the movie for you. Train to Busan 2: Peninsula (also known just as Peninsula) is a standalone sequel to the 2016 South Korean apocalyptic zombie movie Train to Busan. Set four years after the events of the first film’s zombie outbreak, Jung Seok (Dong-Won Gang), a former soldier, and his brother-in-law Chul-min (Do-Yoon Kim), who escaped the devastation of the Korean peninsula for Hong Kong is tasked with returning to Korea to retrieve twenty million dollars. Upon their arrival in the city of Incheon they are surprised to discover that there are survivors, both friendly and hostile.
Ambushed by a rogue militia and then taken in by a family of survivors, Jung Seok and Chul-min find themselves separated and must do whatever they can to survive and get back to the safety of Hong Kong. The trailer promises us a movie chock-full of action and fight sequences. And, of course, lots and lots of zombies.It’s sure going to be a wild ride.
Sang-ho Yeon directed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Joo-Suk Park. Peninsula was supposed to screen at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival, but the coronavirus pandemic canceled the event. It was released theatrically in South Korea on July 15, 2020. In addition to Dong-Won Gang and Do-Yoon Kim, the film also stars Jung-hyun Lee, Re Lee, Hae-hyo Kwon, Min-Jae Kim, Gyo-hwan Koo and Ye-Won Lee.
Train to Busan 2: Peninsula comes out on August 21, 2020.
