British actor Vanessa Kirby made her screen debut in 2011 in the BBC series The Hour opposite Ben Whishaw and Romola Garai. She gained major recognition for her role as the White Widow in the Mission: Impossible films as well as Princess Margaret in seasons 1 and 2 of the historical drama series The Crown on Netflix. Now that her time on The Crown has come to an end, Kirby has thrown herself into a spate of new film projects, let’s take a look at them now.

Pieces of a Woman

After a botched home birth causes young couple Martha (Kirby) and Sean Carson (Shia LaBeouf) to lose their baby, Martha must piece her life back together. She has to gather the courage to face the midwife who bungled her delivery in court while also dealing with her overbearing mother (Ellen Burstyn) and her strained relationship with Sean. Netflix will distribute Pieces of a Woman.

The World to Come

Set in the mid-19th century on the American East Coast frontier, two couples Abigail and Dyer (Katherine Waterston and Casey Affleck) and Tallie and Finney (Kirby and Christopher Abbott), must contend with the hardship and isolation they face. Things start to change as Abigail and Tallie grow closer and begin to fall for one another. The World to Come is set for release on February 12, 2021.

Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8

While plots are unknown for the next two entries in the Mission Impossible franchise, it does appear that both are filming back-to-back. Kirby reprises her roles as White Widow, and the rest of the main cast also return to their roles.

Kirby is also slated to star in the upcoming films Italian Studies and The Brutalist, though there is little information about their plots.
