We just covered the brand new trailer for Jude Law’s new movie The Nest. Now, let’s look back at this British star’s rise to fame and take a look at what other projects he has in the works. Born David Jude Heyworth Law on December 29, 1972, Law first gained major recognition for his role as Dickie Greenleaf in Anthony Minghella’s The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999). For his role he won the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor and was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Oscar. His fame continued to soar with roles in Enemy at the Gates (2001), A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001), Road to Perdition (2002), and Cold Mountain (2003), for which he was nominated for an Academy Award, Golden Globe, and a BAFTA. Law has continued to be a busy star with work both in film and television. He has established himself as a versatile actor, playing romantic leads, and sinister villains. Let’s look ahead at his four upcoming projects.

The Third Day

This TV-mini series will follow three interconnected stories involving a mysterious island. Law stars as Sam, a man who finds reality and fantasy begin to blur together while visiting an island off the British coast.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3

This movie does not need much introduction. Set sometime after the events of the second movie in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise, the third installment will continue to follow the adventures of Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander.

Sherlock Holmes 3

Another movie that needs little introduction. Law will once again take on the role of Dr. Watson opposite Robert Downey Jr.’s Sherlock Holmes in the third Sherlock Holmes film. This one will be directed by Dexter Fletcher instead of Guy Ritchie.

Megalopolis

Law will star as an architect who plans to rebuild New York City into a utopia of his own making after a disaster strikes the city. As of now, this Francis Ford Coppola movie is still in the early stages of production, and Law’s casting is not officially confirmed.
