Double Trouble Coming On Amazon in October

Blumhouse Productions has made quite the name for themselves as masters of horror. The production group churns out scary flick after scary flick with varying degrees of success. It worked with Universal Pictures to bring us films like Get Out, The Invisible Man, and Happy Death Day. It also signed a multi-picture deal with Amazon Studios to make eight horror films for the streaming platform. This anthology series is titled Welcome to the Blumhouse. The first four movies (The Lie, Black Box, Evil Eye, and Nocturne) for Amazon were released last October. The next four will be released this October, with the first two dropping on October 1, 2021, and the final two on October 8, 2021. So let’s take a look at them now.
Bingo Hell
A tight-knit group of senior citizens in Oak Springs refuse to see their community gentrified. However, when their beloved bingo hall is put up for sale, they learn that the buyer is paying a lot more than money. The film was directed by Gigi Saul Guerrero, from a script she co-wrote with Shane McKenzie and Perry Blackshear. Bingo Hell is set for release on October 1, 2021.
Black as Night
A shy teenage girl gains confidence by spending her summer hunting vampires who prey on New Orleans’ disenfranchised citizens. But, with the boy’s help she’s always had a crush on, and a strange rich girl, she raises hell for some vampires. Maritte Lee Go directed Black as Night from a script by Sherman Payne. It will be released on October 1, 2021.
Madres
In this film, Ryan Zaragoza makes his directorial debut from a script written by Marcella Ochoa and Mario Miscione. It is about a Mexican-American couple expecting their first child who move to a small California farming town. Once there, the wife starts experiencing strange symptoms and horrifying visions. Madres comes out October 8, 2021.
The Manor
A woman is sent to an assisted living facility after suffering a stroke. As time goes on, she comes to believe that something supernatural is preying on the residents. Finally, she realizes she needs to escape before a dark fate befalls her. Axelle Carolyn wrote and directed The Manor, which comes out October 8, 2021.
