As 2020 comes to an end, we’re looking forward to all the fabulous new music we know we’ll get to hear in the new year. We’ve put together a list of what we’re looking forward to the most.

Here are our most anticipated albums of 2021:

CONFIRMED ALBUMS

Drake’s Certified Lover Boy (January)

Drake announced in October 2020 that his sixth studio album would be arriving in January 2021. We don’t have an exact release date yet, but we already can’t wait to hear Certified Lover Boy.

Foo Fighters’ Medicine at Midnight (February 5)

In February, the Foo Fighters will release its first album since 2017. Medicine at Midnight has nine tracks, and one single, “Shame Shame.” It has already dropped.

Ashnikko’s Demidevil (February 19)

Ashnikko was one of the biggest viral stars of 2020, thanks to TikTok. Her debut mixtape Demidevil is sure to be full of electropop bangers.

Madison Beer’s Life Support (February 26)

Rising pop star Madison Beer’s single “Selfish” reached number 19 on the Billboard Bubbling Under chart this year, building anticipation for her debut album. Life Support is due out in February.

Greta Van Fleet’s The Battle at Garden’s Gate (April 16)

The young and talented Greta Van Fleet members finally announced in late 2020 that its second album is on the way. The Battle at Garden’s Gate is sure to rock our world when it drops in April.

ANNOUNCED ALBUMS WITH NO RELEASE DATES

The next few records have been announced, confirmed, and named. Unfortunately, we have no guaranteed release dates, but that won’t contain our excitement.

Lana Del Rey’s Chemtrails Over the Country Club

We expected Lana Del Rey’s ninth studio album to be here already, but unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic seems to have put it on hold. We’re expecting her dreamy new record Chemtrails Over the Country Club to arrive sometime in 2021.

Kid Cudi’s Entergalactic

Kid Cudi’s highly anticipated Man on the Moon III: The Chosen was an end-of-the-year treat for us in 2020. We were also delighted to find out that more new music would be coming in 2021. Entergalactic is reportedly in the works.

Rosalia’s R3

Latin superstar Rosalia’s third album is on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. We hope to hear her new R&B sound on R3 sometime in early 2021.

Travis Scott’s Utopia

The Astroworld era will finally come to an end in 2021 with the release of Utopia. Travis Scott confirmed the album’s title in October 2020, and we expect it in the coming year. The tracklist will include both of Scott’s 2020 hits “Highest in the Room” and “Franchise.”

OUR 2021 WISHLIST

These artists haven’t announced any new music. But we’re hoping that they might surprise us with new albums in 2021.

Lorde

In 2020, Lorde sent fans an email that implied there was new music ahead. Unfortunately, no announcement of singles or titles yet.  We’re hoping her third album will arrive before the year is over.

Rihanna

In January 2021, Rihanna’s most recent album, Anti, will be five years old. Will she ever bless us with new music again? We’re not losing hope yet.

Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar’s last album, DAMN. was celebrated as one of the best of the decade after its release in 2017. We’re hoping for a follow-up in 2021.

Kacey Musgraves

Unconventional country queen Kacey Musgraves won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year for 2018’s Golden Hour. We’ve been looking forward to more ever since.

ZAYN

R&B boy ZAYN released just one single in 2020, but we’re hoping that means there’s an entire album on the way. His last release Icarus Falls dropped in 2018.
