6 HOT TIKTOK HITS
Ashnikko, Saweetie, Y2K, Baby Goth, + more

Even if you’re not a TikTok user, you’ve seen some of the hits that have blown up thanks to exposure from the video platform. The most notable TikTok-made triumph is, of course, the Grammy-nominated sensation “Old Town Road” from Lil Nas X. But dances, transformation clips and other trends have rocketed plenty more previously unknown artists and songs up the charts.
Here are our six favorite singles made popular by TikTok:
K CAMP’S “Lottery (Renegade)”
The Renegade dance has taken over TikTok since creator Jalaiah Harmon first posted it to her Instagram last October. It’s a 15-second series of wild movements that most of us aren’t quite coordinated enough to master yet, but we’ve got the track it’s associated with on repeat. K CAMP has had a few charting hits in the past, but “Lottery (Renegade)” has been her most popular in recent months. The bass-heavy trap track currently has more than 51 million streams on Spotify.
Arizona Zervas’ “Roxanne”
One of the hottest hits to gain traction on TikTok, “Roxanne” has upwards of 2 million posts on the app and reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100.
The beat of this lighthearted hip-hop track is as danceable as they come and sparked lots of buzz around 24-year-old Arizona Zervas heading into 2020.
Ashnikko’s “STUPID (feat. Yung Baby Tate)”
Even Miley Cyrus and her boo Cody Simpson know this electronic track and its associated dance deserve love. Ashnikko, a 24-year-old North Carolina native, dropped her first single in 2017 and released her first EP Hi, It’s Me last year.
“Stupid” appears on the EP and the high-energy blend of hip-hop and electropop reached number 63 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 in November 2019.
Y2K and bbno $’s “Lalala”
This buoyant hip-hop track helped put Y2K on the map as a prominent emerging rapper last year. It features Canadian rapper bbno$ and a remix included both Enrique Iglesias and Carly Rae Jepsen. Currently, TikTok reports that more than 2 million posts feature the song. In August, it peaked at number 28 on Billboard’s chart for On-Demand Streaming Songs.
Saweetie’s “My Type”
Alongside Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat and other female rappers that have taken the music world by storm in the past year, Saweetie’s irreverent, sexy lyrics turned her into a standout viral star.
“My Type,” is her hottest single. It’s reached number 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Songs chart and she is one of seven female rap acts to hit the Hot 100 in 2019. TikTok users have enthusiastically taken on the “My Type” dance challenge and almost a million posts feature the track.
Flo Milli’s “Beef Flomix”
Flo Milli, another rising female rapper, is still an up-and-comer as a viral TikTok star, but her single “Beef Flomix” recently reached number two on Spotify’s Viral 50 list. The track is a groovy hip-hop tune with lyrics that are lip-sync-able in a way that’s ideal for funny TikTok videos.
