ARCADE FIRE IN THE NOW
Feed Your Head: 45-Minute Meditation Song

Arcade Fire is on board with the mindfulness trend and lending a helping hand with its music.
The indie rock band recently dropped a new single that’s a whopping 45 minutes long. The track, called “Memories In the Age of Anxiety,” is a unique project for the group.
The song was created in collaboration with John Legend, especially for the sleep and meditation app Headspace. It’s part of an entire playlist curated by Legend for Headspace titled “Focus.”
In a post on the band’s official Instagram page, the caption describes the song as “meditative vibes to help you focus and feel inspired.” Very rad. That Instagram post also gives us a glimpse at the instrumental masterpiece Arcade Fire has created. It’s an intense, synth-heavy melody that is sure to soothe your mind as you listen.
Unfortunately for some fans, you can only listen to all of “Memories in the Age of Anxiety” if you have a Headspace Plus premium subscription. The service costs $12.99 per month or $69.99 for a full year.
“Memories in the Age of Anxiety” is Arcade Fire’s first original release since its album Everything Now dropped in 2017. Could this be a hint that the band is back in the studio and creating new music? Only time will tell.
