Ariana Grande is back and as powerful as ever with a brand new single and album.

Last week, Grande dropped the first song from the album “Positions.” It also happens to be the title track and the album will be released just days after the single.

“Positions” is a steamy, suggestive track. In true Ariana fashion, she uses her signature blend of pop and R&B to create the perfect silky-smooth backdrop for her otherworldly vocals. Lyrically, she’s promising to “switch positions” to be whatever her lover needs.

The “Positions” music video is one of Grande’s best to date. Just days before America chooses which of two straight, older white men they’ll elect to the oval office, she helps us picture a world where a hot and powerful young woman turns the White House into something new.

In the video, Grande marches confidently through the West Wing halls and conducts a meeting from the table’s head. Those in attendance look a little different than what we’ve come to expect of America’s leaders. Many are young, female, and/or non-white. There are a few notable cameos, including Grande’s mother Joan and BFF Victoria Monet.

The fashion in the video is worth a thousand words on its own, too. Grande often channels Jackie Kennedy’s vibe in soft wool dresses, little white gloves, and adorable hats. But in the next scene, she’s looking very modern and very sexy in a mini and lacy apron.

Most importantly, Grande sends a message with the “Positions” video –women can and should occupy all American living and professional spaces. From the situation room to the kitchen to the bedroom, women can do it all and do it well.

Following the release of the song, Grande released the full tracklist for the album. It includes 14 tracks and three features by The Weeknd, Doja Cat, and Ty Dolla $ign. We’re counting down the minutes until Grande’s sixth studio album arrives.

Positions is scheduled for release on October 30.
